Запас надежности кабеля - это разность растягивающего усилия между измеренным значением нагрузки при неисправности и максимальной нагрузкой установки/восстановления, предложенной установщиком. В типовом варианте запас надежности кабеля может быть выражен в процентах от измеренной нагрузки при неисправности (МСЭ-Т G.972).
